Living off campus gives us the unique opportunity to get involved in our community and meet neighbors. The Community Ambassadors host events off campus, attend community meetings and gatherings to learn about their neighborhood, and can help you find some of your neighborhood’s hidden gems!

Spring 2023 Opportunities

We often hear of great ways to get involved off campus and want to share them with you. If you follow us on social media, or subscribe to our newsletter, this is the best way to get timely updates.

Here are upcoming opportunities in our local community for Spring 2023:

  • Volunteer for (or participate in) the Mission Hill Road Race!This annual race is occurring this year on Saturday, September 24th.More info here.

NU Service Opportunitiesfor 2023:

  • Join theCommunity Volunteers Programstarting September 26th! You will be able to volunteer at an organization regularly. Deadline is 9/19.Learn more and apply here.

Breakfast Club

During the spring and fall we host between 8-10 clean ups in Mission Hill, Fenway and South End/Roxbury neighborhoods. CA’s meet up with students, hand out supplies, and lead the group through the streets to keep our community looking beautiful! After the 1 hour clean up, join your new friends and CAs for a light breakfast at a local coffee shop.Complete this formto sign up for Breakfast Club!

Engage with others!

We also host other events to allow off campus students to engage with each other. From trips to Salem during Halloween to community socials, we love to get off campus students together just for some fun social activities.

Co-op Mentor Program

The Northeastern Co-op Mentor program allows alumni and students from around the world to engage and expand their personal network. This program, developed by the Office of Alumni Relations, it makes it easy for you to make a strong connection with a student in your city. Alumni mentors help co-op students navigate their careers and professional development, potentially transforming their co-op experience, while co-op students get the opportunity to gain valuable expertise and knowledge from alumni who are leaders in their fields. Students and alumni can leverage the robust, global Northeastern network to achieve what’s next.
